Make A Folding Book! (Workshop) February 7th, 1 - 4pm
This class will explore the structural and aesthetic possibilities of folded book designs. Students will examine the book both as a tactile, interactive medium and as a three-dimensional sculptural form. In addition to traditional structures, some non-traditional bookmaking techniques will be explored.
Participants are invited to bring original text, illustrations, or imagery to integrate into their work; alternatively, students may focus purely on structural assembly and add content at a later date. Through hands-on practice, illustrative examples, and resource sharing, participants will construct one to two custom books while gaining a good understanding of folded book structures.
Supplies will be provided.
All guests must agree to and sign our Code of Conduct and Release Waiver.
If you haven’t previously done so, please read and sign these documents prior to your class.
