If you’ve ever wanted to mat and frame your prints, this comprehensive class shows you the best way to get started.
In this five-hour class we will be learning how to improve your skills when framing artwork from home. This will include learning best practices for handling artwork, considerations when choosing between store bought frames, factors when framing for the art's longevity, hinging materials and techniques for floating and window matting artwork, and tips and tricks for a smooth framing process.
We will also be learning basic mat cutting skills for matting artwork. Students are encouraged to bring a printed image to class between 2"x2" and 6"x8" in size to use for sizing their mat opening.
You will leave the class with a piece of your art that you matted and framed yourself.
Class is limited to eight people.
